Where is Pattaya?

 

Pattaya is located about 150km (about 90 miles) south from Bangkok. Pattaya is a seaside city with almost 15km stretch beach (I did not say it is beautiful beach…). You can take either a bus or taxi from the airport in Bangkok.

Bus -- 130 - 180 bahts (US $4-5) (120 min)

Taxi -- 1500 - 2000 bahts (US $40-60) (70-90 min)

Electric Taxi -- 3000 bahts (US $87) (70-90 min)
 


All prices will depend on the timing and period you travel. And bus is usually from around 8:00am – 12:00pm. There is no bus going to Pattaya in the afternoon and night time. I usually take taxi from the airport so that they can take me directly to my hotel in Pattaya. When you take the bus, you have to be careful were you are getting off. There is no such thing like a bus stop in the Pattaya city area so you must ask the driver or passengers nearby you so that you won’t miss your spot that you want to get off. 


And the bus will not take you to the exact location or hotel that you want to go, as there are many other passengers on board and the bus only runs the main road. So you will have to take either motorbike taxi, tuk tuk or taxi to your hotel from the place you get off the bus.
 


I did try the bus few times but considering the stress and waste of the time, I thought taking taxi from the airport directly to my hotel was the best way. There is no guarantee that you can find the right taxi or tuk tuk from the spot that you get off the bus. And once I got soaked looking for tuk tuk during the raining season.

A GOGO BAR at Walking Street 〜Pattaya〜

  WALKING STREET     [A GOGO BAR] is located in many places in Pattaya. The hottest area is called [WALKING STREET] and it is the main road in Pattaya for the nightlife. This nearly 200m street was filled with [A GOGO BAR], [BEER BAR] and night clubs until 2020. There were nearly 30-40 [A GOGO BAR] at its peak time. Each bar has its own unique design and taste. Some [A GOGO BAR] had a bath tub on the stage to enjoy soapy girls show.   I used past tense because it has changed a bit after the Covid.
